I have always been in search of new ideas and sources of inspiration. I found myself during some down time removing drift wood from water ways. My emotional responses to weather events, subtle or dramatic shifts in light, color and season, are true subjects of my work.
I use many different kinds of natural wood, such as beech, ash, oak, pine and mahogany. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. Seeing nature and how it uniquely interacts with individuals inspires me to create my art.
